Japan Agoonoree

20 May 2016 by Luke Bastian

3 scouts with special needs are going to Japan in August to attend an Agoonoree – a Jamboree for scouts with disabilities or special needs.
They will be accompanied by a deaf leader from NSW as well as a team of helpers.

A helper has just pulled out unexpectedly and so we currently have a vacancy for one male helper. This person must be either a Venturer aged 15 or older, OR a Rover aged between 18 – 26 OR a Leader. If you know of anyone who might be interested please ask them to contact Grant Morrow. Tel. 9722 1595.

The person must have or get a current Passport, be physically fit, be prepared to enthusiastically work as part of a 3 person team as well as the larger 12 person contingent, as well as (be willing to learn about how to) give assistance in the bathroom, with dressing, with meals and with the care of luggage and wheelchairs.

You would leave on August 5th and return on August 18th. These dates do not coincide with school holidays.
The cost is $2,500 which includes plane fares, 7 day rail Pass, Agoonoree fees, all accommodation in Japan and all meals except lunch and dinner at Tokyo Disneyland.
Paperwork and payment must be completed ASAP and Grant is prepared to visit prospective members to help complete this administration.

They leave in 11 weeks time.
